Meanwhile,a large crowd also gathered around and awaited the auspicious moment of the opening of the tunnel.Nine minutes later,the first car entered the ChebeiSouth Tunnel slowly.Previously,it took around20minutes to half an hour to drive from Pazhou to the Guangzhou International Financial City area,mainly across the Pazhou Bridge or the Dongpu Grand Bridge.But as the ChebeiSouth Tunnel has opened,the commute time can be greatly reduced to just two to five minutes.The Financial City and Pazhou have also been linked together!

广州车陂南隧道道路等级为城市主干道，道路规划宽度60米，过江隧道段双向6车道，设计车速为60公里/小时
历时五年建设的广州车陂南隧道于1月18日晚正式通车。记者21时15分到达车陂南隧道位于天河区的入口处，已有十余辆车排队等待通车，不少市民也在附近围观等待。21时24分，第一辆小车缓缓驶入车陂南隧道。目前，从琶洲片区到金融城片区，主要通过琶洲大桥和东圃特大桥过江，大约需20分钟至半小时。隧道开通后，金融城可直达琶洲，行车时间可以缩短至2—5分钟。
