Shawa piaose,or Shawan floating color,is a traditional folk art that originated in Guangdong Province in the Qing dynasty.
With a combination of opera,magic,acrobatics,and dance,this folk art is hailed as“Opera in still,Sculpture in moving”.The boys and girls that participate in the event are as young as3-8years old,and,during the performance,they need to sit on the cleverly disguised“Segeng”,usually a steel stick,creating an effect of floating. #artandculture

4月22日下午，广东省广州市番禺区举行民俗文化活动“弘扬传统文化·传承非遗经典”2023年沙湾街文化传承活动，28板精美绝伦的飘色作品和丰富多彩的民俗文化轮番展示，各显特色的传统艺术方阵组成一支三百多米长的巡游队伍，为广大群众奉上一场精彩纷呈的民俗文化盛宴。
